We know you have a lot to offer KAP. The success of this initiative will depend on people like you giving or your precious time or financial resources. Whatever you can do, we are eternally grateful.

Since launching the KAP beta site in early 2008, we continue to test, expand, and improve the ideas and technology evolving here. It's thanks to contributions from people like you that we are able to keep going.

If you believe in KAP and what we're trying to do, please consider making a financial contribution. We promise to put your entire tax-deductible donation to good use promoting and expanding these tools.

Okay, so you support and use KAP. But have you told others about it? Have you introduced it to your colleagues, family, peers? Have you blogged or tweeted about it?

Consider joining our promotional crew – that's essentially what KAP volunteers are. We fan out across the state to spread the word about how this innovative tool can help people influence state laws. As part of the crew, you'll go to concerts, regional fairs, community events, even coffee shops – anywhere there are people to talk to about what KAP can do to help them become politically engaged citizens.

If you're comfortable talking to different people and visiting new places, we will provide you with the support and resources you need to help promote KAP. As part of a local team, you will make joint decisions about your priorities, targets, and schedules. And we'll support you all the way.

To become a member of your local KAP promo team, send an email to volunteer@knowledgeaspower.org telling us who and where you are.

Maybe you have the time and skills to become more than a KAP volunteer. Maybe you want to be a crew leader.

We are currently on the look-out for capable and creative people to become leaders of local KAP crews. We will also be forming a virtual KAP crew to undertake similar outreach activities on the web.

If you ...

  • believe in KAP and what we're trying to do
  • have great organizational, communications, and people skills
  • have a background in marketing, training, or education
  • want to coach others on how to maximize KAP

... then this might be the gig for you. Email lead@knowledgeaspower.org to learn more.

KAP also has openings for board of director members, if you've served on a board before or participated in board training and would be interested in hearing about KAP's board, please get in touch with KAP's executive director, Sarah Schacht at director@knowledgeaspower.org .
